How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- You accessed or used our Service
- You subscribed to an Unlock Wilderness mailing list
- You directly contacted us via email
We use the information that you have given us in order to keep you informed and up-to-date on all of our latest blog posts and product offers.
We will not transfer your personal information to any third party without seeking your consent, except in limited circumstances as described as follows: Ad service, Analytics.
We may also disclose your personal information for the following: (1) to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order or other legal process; (2) to enforce your agreements with us, including this Privacy Policy; or (3) to respond to claims that your use of the Service violates any third-party rights. How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on an AWS (Amazon Web Services) MySQL database.
We retain Personal Information where we have an ongoing legitimate business or legal need to do so. Our retention periods will vary depending on the type of data involved, but, generally, we'll refer to these criteria in order to determine retention period:
- Whether we have a legal or contractual need to retain the data.
- Whether the data is necessary to provide our Service.
- Whether our Subscribers would reasonably expect that we would retain the data until they remove it or until their subscriptions are terminated.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your Personal Information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your Personal Information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
